Sedan Sedan is an alternative/indie rock band from Tempe, Arizona. They create moody and ambitious music that doesn't put its quirk and technicality before fun and catchiness. The four members of the band are passionate life-long musicians who are looking for fellow weirdos to enjoy music with. They put out their debut album, a frame around nothing, in June of 2023. They'd planned to use 2020 to tour and promote their 2019 self-produced EP, All That Glitters is Glitter but then quarantine happened. So instead they spent the next couple years looking inward and experimenting with extended range guitars. This full length project was both more ambitious and more direct than previous work. The album was structured as two sides as if of a single LP. Side A is from "forever in flowers" to "not about you" and it shows our more extroverted and anthemic side. These songs are guitar forward and have big choruses and feel the most like an evolution of their sound on the EP. Side B being from "feeling nothing" to the end is where the album gets a little more diverse in its influences, more moody and dark in its tone, and an electronic/dance sound comes through strongly on tracks like "exit ramp (ft. Emmett King)", "fall with me", and "ii. while we're dreaming".
